when you were young what careers interested you
Well, to be honest, I never had an urge or desire to do anything in particular, therefore that is why I am still in a state of flux for what I want to do! I wish I had used my contacts earlier on in my life to get "a" job in television - not sure exaxtly what, maybe producing, but I think I am too old now to retrain or try a new industry - I did think about teaching several years ago, and thought I was too old then, but again, too many regrets... should really follow my dreams and thoughts instead of just dreaming...

what pets have you had through your life and what did you love about each one
The first pet I had was a black and white cat called Toddy - I'm not sure when mum and dad got him, but at least since I was a baby, he died when I was about 8 - he was very spoilt and mum bought him fresh liver and cut up containers of it for his dinners - he was very smart looking being black with white paws and small white crest on his chest and half a moustache.
We had guinea pigs at one stage, I can't remember their names, but I don't think we had them very long.
Our next cat was called Milly - full name Milly Molly Mandy Mildred Millicent Vivien Cleopatra! I was reading big time and pulled lots of names from books I was reading - she was a very timid cat and eventually got run over - never forgot that day - it was the day I had to go to school with mum to see the Vice Principal after I got suspended for smoking at school!
Our next family pets were a cat called Rocky and a dog called Bandit. Awesome animals! Bandit was a Samoyed and staffy cross - a lovable dog, white with a black mask, hence the name. Rocky was a daredevil cat and nothing fazed him, even when he got run over (I never thought that had happened, he just hopped up on my bed and stayed there, still purring although he had a broken leg! They both died when I was about 25?
The next chapter in my life with pets was when Dave and I got married, we got a kitten from our friends and she is called Jelly - after Bad Jelly the Witch (or Jelly the Bitch as I call her when she brings in big bush rats in the middle of the night!) She is still with us and will be celebrating her 14th birthday next month. We got Taz our dog, a German Shepherd Cross about 4 years ago - gorgeous dog, still mad like a puppy, I don't think she'll ever settle!

what's your idea of a perfect Sunday
My idea of a perfect Sunday is a leisurely breakfast with my family. Followed by a few hours of reading the papers or my book, or watching a detective TV programme. Then a large family lunch, perhaps with extended family, followed by a walk in the country or park. Back home for drinks by the fire, Sunday tea and more detective telly or a nature doco
